Fantastic home learning Fahad! ??

Good morning 2CC, I hope you all had a lovely 3 day weekend.
Did anyone celebrate VE Day on Friday?
Jake & I celebrated by making some posters to go in the window of our house. We then enjoyed a bbq (which Jake helped cook!)and listened to some 1940’s music. We also listened to the famous speech made my Sir Winston Churchill in 1945. Do you know who he was?
We also then watched the speech made to the nation by Queen Elizabeth ll. Do you know how many years she has been our Queen?
On Saturday we enjoyed a nice walk down by the River Wharfe, where we found tadpoles and enjoyed skimming stones whilst Bella tried to catch them! We then spent the afternoon in the garden in the sunshine and made paella on the BBQ- which was yummy! Do you know which country paella comes from?
On Sunday we went on a bike ride, but it was quite cold so we didn’t stay out for long! We also made a start at decorating some rainbow ? rocks to hide on our walk this evening!
I would love to hear what you have all been doing with your families!
This week you should be starting week 4 on your home learning activity grid. Please complete the ‘essential’ tasks first. I have emailed your maths worksheets to accompany the white Rose Maths video lessons. Please also remember to complete your assignments on Reading Eggspress, mathletics and TT Rockstars.
I hope you all have a great week. I’m looking forward to receiving lots of pictures of your home learning and other activities you have been getting up to!
Keep on being a ‘Home Learning Hero’! ? ?
I miss you all lots!
Miss Cooke x

Alfie saw a hedgehog at the bottom of his garden! It was eating the bread that he put out for the birds so then Alfie’s mum went outside and gave it some cat food instead because she said that bread isn’t good for hedgehogs tummies.
Alfie’s Mum said that it might be a mummy hedgehog and that hedgehogs usually sleep in the daytime. It went into a bush at the bottom of the garden so maybe it lives there! Alfie is going to keep an eye on it to make sure that it is safe and healthy because sometimes hedgehogs that are out in the daytime are poorly but Alfie thinks this one seems ok. They have named it Prickles the hedgehog ?

Bilal had been busy learning this week about a desert, drawing a picture of and a model of desert.

VE Day Challenges!
Tomorrow (Friday 8TH May 2020) marks the 75th anniversary of VE Day (Victory in Europe Day). VE Day celebrates the formal acceptance by the Allies of Germany’s surrender of its armed forces during World War 2 on the 8TH May 1945.
In order to commemorate the victory and pay tribute to all the lives lost we would like to set a few challenges to complete:
Email you pictures of your work to me

Bilal has been taking photos of beautiful spring flowers in the garden. He has also planted some sunflower seeds. I wonder how tall they will grow?
Bilal has also enjoyed riding his bike!
