Another great week in 2C…

We’ve finally reached the end of a very busy half term! This week, the children completed a setting description based on the text the Further Adventures of the Owl and the Pussycat written by Julia Donaldson. They have worked hard to vary their sentences and include adjectives and adverbs to make their writing engaging.

The pupils also finished their Owl & Pussy cat inspired art work as seen in the photos.

In Geography, the children designed a map which showed the location of an owl and a pussycat. The children used their knowledge of compass points and co-ordinates to help them with the task.

Next term, the children will be exploring plants as part of their science unit. Being able to spot and name some common plants during the Easter break would be helpful. The maths unit will continue to be fractions. Mentioning halves, thirds and quarters when sharing amounts would assist your child’s mathematical knowledge.
