Paul’s age is 15.
This is how I worked it out:
First I subtracted 5 from 35 and it equals 30.
35-5=30
Next I divided 2 from 30 because it said “ double it”and it equals 15 so Paul is 15 years old.
30÷2=15
My question:
They take Sam’s age and halve it.
Then they add 10.
Then they subtract 5.
The answer is 25.
How old is Sam?

25+5=30
30-10=20
20×2=40
Sam is 40 years old
Paul is 15.
35-5 = 30
30/2 = 15
Great maths! 🙂
35-5=30
30 is the double of 15
15+15=30
paul is 15 years old
